Submission Guidelines:

Harnessing Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Growth and Economic Renaissance

In line with the global digital transformation, emerging technologies, ranging from artificial intelligence to advanced manufacturing, blockchain, biotechnology and quantum computing are reshaping economies and redefining pathways to inclusive, sustainable development. The forthcoming International Conference, themed ‘Harnessing Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Growth and Economic Renaissance (RISE 2026)’, is aimed at providing a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange through leveraging technological advancements to foster equitable prosperity and economic renewal.

Consequently, the Nigeria Computer Society is pleased to invite scholars, researchers, industry practitioners, policymakers, and students to submit original research papers, case studies, and practical insights to the International Conference on Harnessing Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Growth and Economic Renaissance.

Paper Types: Full research papers, work-in-progress papers, review papers, case studies, and practice-based insights.

Format:

  • Length:  5-6 pages; Single-spaced, Two-column
  • Style: IEEE referencing
  • Font: Times New Roman, Size- 10
  • Submissions should adhere to the NCS template for submission (Download the approved paper template)
  • Include: Title, abstract (250 words max), 4–6 keywords, author affiliation(s), email address(es)

Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

Doctoral Consortium

Introduction:

The Doctoral Consortium is an integral part of the NCS International conference. This consortium has the following objectives:

    • To provide a platform for doctoral students to share their research with other students and experts.
    • To receive constructive feedback on the ongoing research.
    • To offer a forum to solve issues that PhD students could encounter in the course of undertaking the research.
    • To encourage open and useful discussions.
    • To provide insights that will help students towards the enhancement of their research.
    • The Best Presentation Award goes to the Student and Major Supervisor as a form of encouragement.

The Doctoral Consortium will be held during the Conference which holds from 10th to 13th August 2026 in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria:

Participation is open to doctoral students, whose research aligns with the theme of the RISE 2026 NCS International Conference. The most eligible candidates are PhD students in Computing, Information Technology (or related fields) who can convey their research aims, challenges and proffer relevant solutions. Preference will be given to students who have a defined topic and clear program of study and are within the first 2 years of their study (proposal stage) due to the opportunity for impact and potential benefits from the feedback of the Doctoral Consortium.

Students should submit an extended research outline following the guideline provided on the website and a letter of recommendation from their major Supervisor, highlighting the student’s readiness for the consortium.

All documents, including the recommendation letter and admission letter should be uploaded on the Microsoft CMT portal.

Submission Guidelines:

Selection Process:

  • Submissions will undergo a peer-review process by a panel of experienced researchers.
  • Selection criteria include the quality and relevance of the research, clarity of presentation, and the potential for constructive feedback.

Selected participants will be duly notified via the email provided

Feedback Sessions:

  • Each doctoral student will be assigned a mentor or experienced researcher for detailed feedback.
  • Feedback sessions are designed to provide constructive criticism and guidance for further development of the research.

Attendance and Registration:

  • Doctoral students selected for the consortium are required to register for the main conference with the major Supervisor and attend the conference.
  • Registration fees cover participation in the Doctoral Consortium and all related activities of the conference

Poster Paper

Submission Guidelines:

Authors are required to submit poster papers. Poster papers should be a maximum of four (4) pages, clearly describing the research questions addressed and their contributions to knowledge. Download poster paper template

Attendance and Registration:

  • At least one of the Authors of the accepted poster is required to register for the conference.
  • Registration fees cover all activities of the conference

A Book of Abstracts will be published for all accepted and presented posters.
